Hi there! My name is Darcy Copeland, RN, BSN, IBCLC, CLC, and DONA trained Birth Doula.

I’ve been supporting moms and babes in one form or another for the last 18 years. Rather than an illness or a medical pathology, I view pregnancy and birth as normal physiological transitions, just as lactation is an essential biological function and key determinant of long-term health for both mother and babe. I am passionate about empowering parents with evidence based perinatal education, support, and assistance. I deeply value the trust of my clients, support with empathy, and providing individualized care for every client through each step of their unique and sacred journey through pregnancy, birth, lactation, and beyond.

Parent Testimonials:

“Darcy was the game changer in having a positive experience in my perinatal journey. I received support and education in pregnancy, she was there every step of the way through a challenging birth, and with her help I had a smooth and amazing breastfeeding journey. Her experience and attention to detail combined with deep empathy and compassion made me feel so seen and cared for. I can’t imagine where I would be without her.”

— Katie B.

“When I say Darcy is truly the best, that is coming from someone who has worked with over 10 different lactation consultants through three separate labor and deliveries. Not only is she the most kind and compassionate human being, she is truly gifted at what she does. I unfortunately didn’t have the pleasure of working with her until my third baby. My first two babies were exclusively formula fed. I worked with numerous lactation consultants during that time, desperately wanting to figure out how to make breastfeeding work. I was basically told my supply was low or my breasts were simply not conducive to breastfeeding (both of which were not true). It was an incredibly defeating and physically painful process. Fast-forward to delivering my third baby, Darcy helped me approach breastfeeding with a positive mindset and equipped me with the tools and strategies to make latching successful. She was so patient and easy to work with. I felt so comfortable having her help me navigate what seemed like an impossible endeavor. I am still breastfeeding my daughter almost 13 months later, a literal dream! I don’t know where I’d be if I wouldn’t have had the privilege of working with Darcy!”“

“Darcy was the most vital component to my sanity and the entire birthing experience as a first time parent. She made things clear, explained in real-time, provided strong support, and gave so much clarity to our plan and execution of that plan. Having her as our doula was the best choice we could’ve made and we will be having her at the rest of our births!”
